Description
Located at our Charleville Base, this role will be on a part-time, 6 month maximum term basis, with FIFO (within QLD) available.
As a specialist in our exceptional frontline team, you’ll embrace a unique professional challenge. You’ll use all the skills you’ve worked so hard to acquire, making a difference to people’s everyday lives and delivering important general practice/primary health care services for regional, rural and remote Queenslanders.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend Primary Health Care clinics in regional, rural and remote Queensland and deliver best practice evidence-based medicine
- Practice in a manner consistent with national and General Practice College (RACGP or ACRRM) professional standards
- Provide comprehensive Fellowship Level General Practice services across the broad range of primary health care presentations including both chronic and acute as would be expected in a rural and remote setting
- Provide clinical care of an acute or emergent patient commensurate with the level of training of a rural and remote GP, pending the attendance of retrieval services
- Provide telehealth consultations (utilising telephone, videoconference, email and other means) as required and within abilities, qualifications and scope of practice
- Collaborate and liaise with other care providers in each location to ensure an integrated approach to patient care
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural health team and provide clinical leadership to immediate PHC team
- Provide advice to nurses and other health professionals as required.
To be successful in this role you should have experience in the following relevant areas:
- Registration with AHPRA as medical practitioner
- Fellowship of the RACGP or ACCRM
- 3 - 5 years post graduate experience
- Ability to meet Medical Officer – Primary Health Care credentialing requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary Medical practice in the primary health care environment.
