Description
Expressions of interest are open for a Payroll Officer to join our friendly and collaborative team at the Royal Flying Doctor Services (Queensland Section).
Working on a part time basis over 3 days per week (flexible) this role will be a minimum of 12 months and will have options for extension. We are ideally looking for commencement of a new team member in August 2021.
As part of the wider People and Culture team, the Payroll Officer will assist in accurately and efficiently processing the company payroll ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory changes.
Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will;
- Process an end to end fortnightly pay run.
- Prepare and analyse reports.
- Participate in end of pay, end of month and end of year activities.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records.
- Respond to, support and resolve payroll queries.
- Support the Payroll Lead and People and Culture team when required.
About You:
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Ability to meet time restrictions and deadlines coupled with high attention to detail.
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated payroll processing experience, with a computerised payroll system (preferably Chris21).
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation, taxation and relevant employment law.
- Ability to interpret awards, agreements and legislation.
- Previous experience working with annualised salaries and averaged roster periods.
