Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Base Support Manager is responsible for the efficient functioning of the RFDS Mount Isa base through the coordination of administrative, financial, operational activities and resources.
This role is a permanent full-time position reporting to the State Manager Finance and Corporate Services based in Brisbane.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work as a key member of the Base Leadership team supporting the Nursing, Medical, Aviation & Engineering teams to deliver patient outcomes and RFDS objectives
- Lead the Administrative team including; reporting and processing of financial and non-financial information
- Drive communication across the base including delivering organisational communication
- Contribute to the development of the base annual budget and ensure the budget is managed effectively
- Promote the reputation of the RFDS including representing the RFDS in the local community
- Manage security and associated protocols for the Base
- Manage RFDS owned accommodation, facilities and base fleet vehicles
- Supporting Base compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies, procedures and manuals
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Strong leadership experience with an ability to work across and influence at all levels including Senior Leadership
- Demonstrated experience in a Business Administration role or similar
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Team leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor staff
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills of self and others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
