Description

Reporting to the Manager - Outback Mental Health, the Administration Officer- Mental Health provides a full range of effective and efficient administration support to the Outback Mental Health Team (OMH).
This role is a 12-month contract, full-time opportunity located at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Corporate office at Brisbane International Airport.

Duties will include;

  • Coordinating all travel and accommodation bookings including flights and all duty related travel
  • Scheduling and coordinating all team meetings including agendas and minute taking
  • Working with the Marketing Team in the coordination and design OMH promotional materials
  • Preparing reports, general correspondence and program manual updates
  • Coordinating OMH fleet vehicles
  • Assisting in event management for OMH team (as needed)
  • Maintaining and updating OMH events calendar
  • Monitoring all OMH inboxes and the OMH phone line
  • Undertaking administration support for the wider OMH team

Who we are looking for?

To be successful in this role you will have a strong administration background, possess exceptional multitasking skills, be team centric and have methodical work practise. You will also possess:
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage workloads within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and achieve goals
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to periodically travel across Western Queensland to assist OMH team with administration at events and workshops

About us:

The RFDS (Queensland Section) has the biggest mental health service of RFDS sections across Australia. The RFDS (Queensland Section) mental health service is made up of several specialised teams, spanning across the state providing psychological therapies for people living in difficult to access parts of rural and remote Queensland.

The RFDS Outback Mental Health service consists of three mental health programs including; the Drought Wellbeing Service, the Remote Wellbeing Service and Wellbeing Out West.

The primary purpose of the Administration Officer- Mental Health is to ensure RFDS Mental Health Clinicians are supported operationally to provide wellbeing services to Queenslanders.
