Description
The Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) Medical Chest is a unique program of 1,200 medical chests located throughout the State of QLD. The Medical Chests contain a variety of first aid items, medications and pain relief. These items allow patients to be treated for a range of medical conditions including antibiotics for infections, pain relief prior to medical evacuations and more.
The Administration Officer- Medical Chest coordinates the ordering, replenishment, distribution and monitoring of Medical Chests and their contents for people living in rural and remote Queensland.
This role is a permanent position on a part time basis. We are offering 10-12-hours per week which can be worked over a negotiated roster with flexibility for the suitable candidate. We do have a business need for part of the hours to be worked on Wednesdays.
Duties will include;
- Conducting regular audits to ensure all chests and contents are accounted for
- Ensuring expiring items and medications are resourced and readily available post audit
- Processing medical chest paperwork such as receipting monitored medications
- Monitoring and tracking Medical Chests and maintaining usage records
Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will have excellent data entry skills, be customer focused and have methodical work practise. You will also possess:
- Experience in administration and customer service
- Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Well-developed general administration skills
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving
- Proven ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and prioritisation skills

Successful candidates will be subject to a Police Check and Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing. Candidates are required to hold a current, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and obtain an ASIC Card.
