Description
The Philanthropy Associate is primarily responsible for the management of trust and foundation applications and acquittals.
The Associate will also provide support for the philanthropy program in maintaining accurate donor records, identifying key prospects, researching donor profiles as well as building and maintaining high value donor relationships with the support of the Philanthropy Manager.
The Philanthropy Associate is a Full-Time position based in Brisbane.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage timely and high-quality philanthropic trust and foundation applications through effective program management
- Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to identify projects, research and write cases for support
- Provide education to internal staff around the expectations of funders
- Build and foster strategic long-term relationships with funders
- Identify and secure new opportunities for Trust and Foundation relationships to grow the program as part of the Fundraising Growth Strategy
- Provide assistance to the Philanthropy Team by completing prospect research with a high degree of accuracy
- Research, develop and present high-quality proposals and case for support materials for philanthropic funders
- With the support of the Philanthropy Manager, develop and cultivate major gift relationships with a select group of high-value philanthropic donors.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualifications in Business, Marketing or similar (preferred)
- 1 to 3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated program management skills with the ability to develop clear plans and timelines, adhere to deadlines, maintain regular communication with stakeholders and monitor progress
- High-level writing skills with ability to adapt style to the target audience and purpose with a high level of accuracy
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish, build and nurture internal and external relationships
- High level of attention to detail with ability manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to draw information from a range of sources
- Highly motivated and reliable
- Experience working with CRM systems and high-level Microsoft office skills
