Description
The Management Accountant is responsible for analysing key information to optimise financial planning and aid in key financial decision making while supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) business objectives.
The Management Accountant is a Full-Time position based in Brisbane, with some travel required to regional locations as required.
Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Preparation of the consolidated annual budget and ad-hoc re-forecasting for all RFDS entities
- Compiling monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budgets
- Develop financial reporting for RFDS strategic initiatives including variance analysis and commentary
- Support the business through consolidated analytics, insights, gap analysis and commentary for RFDS Board reporting to support the delivery of business targets and initiatives
- Create KPI and dashboard reporting of both financial and non-financial information
- Assist with end of year audit as required
- Provide support to RFDS Managers on monthly business review reporting
- Collaborate on improvement initiatives for cost effectiveness
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget, which will include some travel to remote stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
- 5 to 7 years relevant experience, with previous Not for Profit experience highly regarded
- Advanced financial systems experience preferably using Technology1
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to use initiative
- Proven stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Ability to work across and influence at all levels including Executive and Senior Management.
- $86,000 + Super + Salary packaging of $15, 900; increasing your take home pay
