We are excited to announce the return of RFDS for its third season on Channel 7, produced by Endemol Shine Australia.

This season continues to bring compelling stories inspired by the real-life work of our dedicated doctors, nurses, pilots, and support staff.

Filming is currently underway in South Australia, capturing the stunning landscapes of the Flinders Ranges and the vital work our staff performs, providing emergency medical care to some of the most remote regions in the country.

RFDS is a story about community, perseverance, and the human spirit.

The series remains rooted in the real-life experiences of our staff, showcasing the life-saving work they do every day across Australia’s vast and often unforgiving landscapes.

We are humbled that these stories continue to resonate with viewers and bring attention to the importance of the Royal Flying Doctor Service in supporting remote communities.

Returning for Season 3 are familiar faces including Emma Hamilton, Stephen Peacocke, Rob Collins, Justine Clarke, Ash Ricardo, Emma Harvie, Rodney Afif, Jack Scott, Sofia Nolan, and Thomas Weatherall.

This season’s storyline picks up one year later, as the RFDS team grapples with the emotional and professional fallout of life-altering decisions and a tragic event.

This season will highlight not only the daily challenges our team faces but also the resilience and commitment of the communities we serve.

The production is taking place at key locations, including our RFDS base in Port Augusta and the town of Quorn, with more than $10 million expected to be injected into the local economy and 450 jobs created across the cast, crew, and extras.

Sara Richardson, Executive Producer at Endemol Shine Australia, shared her excitement: “We are incredibly grateful to the communities of Quorn and Port Augusta for their support and hospitality.

It’s a privilege to work closely with the RFDS team and showcase their inspiring work on this platform.”

As we move closer to the premiere of Season 3, we are honoured to see the ongoing support for the series and the true stories that inspire it.

We look forward to sharing another season of RFDS on Channel 7, filled with stories of courage, compassion, and the remarkable dedication of our staff.

Stay tuned for more updates on the new season, and thank you for your continued support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the vital work our staff does every day.
