RFDS Chair AM Honorary Award

Congratulations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Central Operations Chairman Peter de Cure on being appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Peter has been recognised for significant service to the Australian community. He has served as RFDS Central Operations Chairman since 2020 and has been a dedicated Director of the Board since 2018.

He has also served in Chair and Director roles with children’s charity Variety and the Australian-American Fulbright Commission, as well as other professional, community and education roles. From everyone at the RFDS, a huge thank you to Peter for his continued work to support Australian communities in a variety of ways.

"I’ve been fortunate in life, and when you’re raising your own family you’re aware of challenges that other people that haven’t had such advantages face,’’ Mr De Cure says. “I just naturally got involved in trying to help people out and do things that mattered in the community.”
