Coles kicking goals

Coles kicking goals

Our friends at the Coles Distribution Centre recently set a target to raise $20,000 for the RFDS and ended up with $25,000.

The team raised the funds over six months by hosting onsite team events like BBQs and food days.

“We chose to support the RFDS due to the important role they play across the communities we serve in South Australia and Northern Territory, providing emergency services and critical transport and clinics for our remote areas. We know with this service our communities are better off." - Mike Rogers, Coles State Distribution Centre Manager SA/NT

Gary and Chris Bastin

Bottling up funds

Over the last few years, Gary and Chris Bastin have been recycling 10-cent containers to raise funds for the RFDS.

With help from other RFDS supporters, the pair have raised about $185,000 for the RFDS since 2018.

“No one knows when they may need the Flying Doctor and it has long been an ethos in remote areas that all should contribute to this important service. Recycling containers for cash reduces the amount of waste going to landfill and helps keep our streets and footpaths cleaner.”

A book for Ziggy

A book for Ziggy

It's been a year since SA farmer Brook Seal released his children's book Just like you, only a little more different and so far it’s raised more than $3,000 for the Flying Doctor!

Written for his son, the heartwarming story raises awareness about inclusion, kindness and living with disability, with all proceeds going towards the RFDS.
