Because of you, Jobe’s back to doing what he loves, fishing, wakeboarding and looking forward to finishing the school year with his friends.

Through your support, you might have read about Jobe’s accident. An experienced motorbike rider, Jobe thought he just needed to get his breath back after he hit a kangaroo and was thrown from his motorbike. What he couldn’t see were his life-threatening internal injuries: a ruptured spleen, kidney and liver lacerations, and a collapsed lung.

After two weeks in intensive care at a major hospital, Jobe’s condition was much better, and he was eager to return to fishing and tinkering in his shed.

Jobe’s mum, Renée, wants you to know that because of your generous heart Jobe was able to receive lifesaving healthcare from the Flying Doctor and is now recovering well at home.

“We can’t thank the RFDS enough for getting Jobe to specialised care as fast and as safely as possible. They are our lifeline. You never know when your life, or your loved one’s life, needs to be saved.”

Thanks to you, children in the bush will have access to medical care whether it’s an emergency or regular GP check-up today and every day. You are a gift to these young people like Jobe!
