Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2024

This NAIDOC week, the RFDS proudly joins the nation in celebrating the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture with the theme ‘Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud’.

At the RFDS we recognise the strength and resilience shown by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and communities and express our gratitude to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, patients, partners and other stakeholders who share their knowledge with us as we continue to grow and learn on our reconciliation journey.

NAIDOC week is an important time to acknowledge and recognise our First Nations staff, partners and community members and to recognise and celebrate the wealth of knowledge that they provide to our organisation.

This week, we invite and encourage everyone to get involved in local NAIDOC events and to listen and learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and to celebrate the vibrant cultures that enrich our nation.

You can watch a First Nations Film  or listen to some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music or read a novel  this NAIDOC week as a way to learn more about culture and celebrate talented First Nations artists and authors.

Together, let’s keep the fire burning!
