The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world, providing extensive primary healthcare and emergency service to people across Australia.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the People and Culture Business Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and embed a consistent, effective and strategically aligned People and Culture function that enables organisational growth, actively supports leadership capability and ensures a high-quality employee experience.

As a member of RFDS Tasmania’s leadership team, this role spans both strategic and operational functions. Key responsibilities include workforce planning, workplace health and safety, people and culture governance, leadership capability development and delivering scalable people practices aligned to organisational and talent priorities. The People and Culture Business Manager will work collaboratively with the CEO and senior leaders across the organisation to strengthen workforce capability, embed clear and consistent business processes, and support RFDS Tasmania as a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace.

The successful applicant will bring a strong track record of delivering high quality People and Culture services within complex, operational or growth environment. They will demonstrate the ability to provide strategic and sound advice across a broad range of people-related matters, contributing directly to organisational performance and capability. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement, and deep practical knowledge of employment legislation are essential. The ability to influence, coach and build leadership capability will be critical to success in this pivotal leadership role.
