About Us

When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the experience of the people who make our mission possible. As Organisational Development and Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in creating a workplace where people feel connected, supported and empowered to do their best work. From culture and engagement to learning, leadership and inclusion, you will lead meaningful initiatives that build capability, strengthen belonging and help our people thrive. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, you will turn strategy into meaningful people programs that strengthen capability, drive organisational performance and create an environment where our people can thrive.

To be successful, you will need:

- Senior experience in People & Culture, OD or L&D
- Strong capability in culture, engagement, learning and inclusion
- Proven ability to lead strategic people initiatives in complex environments
- Excellent communication, analytical and change management skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, OD, Psychology or a related field
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current drivers licence, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.

What working at RFDS can offer you:

- Five non-accruable Office Closure Leave days each year
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Access to salary packaging options to reduce your taxable income
- Fitness passport – a discounted gym membership to gyms and pools that both you and your family can enjoy
- Access to discounted private health insurance
- Flexible work options: hybrid working and purchased leave
- Great parental leave benefits in addition to government parental leave.
