About this opportunity
The Senior Recruiter will lead and deliver the RFDS’s recruitment activity for priority, complex and specialist workforce requirements in the Northern Territory.
- Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, this role is responsible for developing recruitment strategies, leading sourcing and attraction activities, and managing the full recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning through to offer and onboarding.
This role also provides guidance, coaching and oversight to the Recruitment Coordinator and plays a key role in strengthening recruitment capability across the People & Culture team.
With strong experience in recruitment, you will support a high-quality candidate and hiring-manager experience in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key responsibilities - Lead recruitment for specialist and priority roles, including strategy, sourcing, assessment, selection and offer management.
- Partner with People & Culture and hiring managers to define workforce needs and deliver effective recruitment outcomes
- Drive proactive sourcing and talent attraction strategies to engage both active and passive candidates, including within the NT market
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring timely progression and a strong candidate experience throughout
- Provide market insights and recruitment advice to support workforce planning and decision-making\
- Lead structured assessment processes including interviews, panels, reference checks and pre-employment screening
- Ensure accurate recruitment documentation, compliance and effective use of recruitment systems and reporting tools
- Coach and support the Recruitment Coordinator, contributing to capability development and consistent recruitment practice\
- Support onboarding and smooth candidate transition into the organisation
- Contribute to continuous improvement, reporting and optimisation of recruitment processes and systems
About you
You are an experienced recruitment professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys building capability while delivering high-quality recruitment outcomes.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment, including senior or specialist roles
- Strong proactive sourcing and passive candidate engagement capability
- Experience using Talent Management Systems and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to coach, guide and support other team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience working through organisational growth or change
