The RFDS in QLD
Brisbane Airport Corporation

Brisbane Airport (BAC) continues to support the Flying Doctor by providing a gateway to Brisbane’s tertiary hospitals. Whether it is moving a critically sick child to the Queensland Children's Hospital or a patient who has suffered a heart attack to an Intensive Care Unit, BAC provides vital support to the Flying Doctor as we connect patients to the specialist care they need across Brisbane. Since the partnership began in 2009, BAC has donated over $3.4 million to the Flying Doctor. During this period the RFDS has landed in Brisbane over 33,500 times and we thank BAC for the part they play in saving lives across Queensland.

In recognition of the important role the RFDS plays for those who desperately need Brisbane's medical expertise, on 1 November 2009, Brisbane Airport signed on as a principal sponsor for the RFDS in Queensland.
Brisbane Airport has been a destination for hundreds of thousands of RFDS flights and since 1995 has been home to the RFDS Queensland Head Office. While there has always been a close working relationship between Brisbane Airport and the RFDS, this partnership takes the relationship to a new and exciting level.
