RFDS praises first responders at Bondi Beach terrorist attack
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia condemns the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach and praises first responders for their heroic efforts.
Tracey Hayes, Chair of the Federation Board, expressed support and condolences for the Jewish community and all those impacted by the tragedy.
"Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones, to those injured, and to everyone traumatised by this horrific attack.” Ms Hayes said.
Federation Chief Executive Emma Buchanan praised the bravery of first responders and members of the public who rushed to help during and after the attack.
"In the midst of this tragedy, we witnessed extraordinary courage - from the police and emergency services who confronted the attackers, to the everyday community members who ran toward danger to help others," Ms Buchanan said.
"This spirit of people coming together to support each other in times of crisis is something the RFDS sees every day.
"We've seen this spirit in the remarkable response from people coming forward to donate blood to help the injured. It proves that whether you live in the city or the bush, we are a nation of people who care for and look after one another.”
The RFDS encourages all eligible Australians to consider donating blood to support those recovering from injuries.
