The Royal Flying Doctor Service is humbled to have been announced, for the fifth consecutive year, as Australia’s ‘Most Trusted’ charity brand in the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Australia 2025.
Now in its 26th year, the Trusted Brands Awards recognises the products and services that Australians value most. Each recognised brand is chosen solely by consumers, based on their personal experiences and perceptions, with no commercial influence or advertiser involvement.
Emma Buchanan, the Federation Chief Executive of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, was in Sydney today to receive the award.
“A patient’s trust in their health services is critical, particularly if they are living in locations that don’t have the same access to the services enjoyed in our cities,” said Ms Buchanan. “After decades of providing emergency medical and primary healthcare services to rural and remote Australia, our staff are proud that we have and maintain that trust.”
Treating some 900 patients each and every day, the RFDS works closely with local communities to deliver a range of targeted primary health services. From remote GP and nurse clinics, through to mental health, dental, tele-health and allied health services, as well as chronic disease management and emergency medical care, the RFDS is proud to serve as a vital lifeline for those who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia.
“This Most Trusted Charity Brand Award,” Ms Buchanan said, “is testament to our dedicated clinicians and aviation staff, as well as the ongoing efforts of first responders, the local volunteers that clear and light dirt airstrips, the long-serving custodians of medical chests, fundraisers and donors. We thank them all for their tireless work to make access to health services easier.”
