About this Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional to join our Employee Relations team in a trusted advisory role. Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping fair, consistent and compliant workplace practices. You’ll contribute to the development and review of terms and conditions of employment, ensuring they are fit for purpose as the organisation continues to grow. In addition, you’ll support enterprise bargaining negotiations by contributing to strategy development, conducting research and drafting, and engaging with key stakeholders to deliver strong and sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advice and support on a wide range of employee relations matters, involving the interpretation and application of relevant Modern Awards, RFDS Enterprise Agreements, and employment legislation.
• Support case management activities including grievances, complaints, investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance management.
• Support the resolution of proceedings before the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals.
• Support enterprise bargaining negotiations, including through research and analysis, and drafting of key documentation.
• Evaluate existing terms and conditions of employment, identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification and alignment with best practice.
• Review and monitor compliance with industrial instruments, identifying and addressing compliance gaps, risks or issues.
• Draft high-quality, legally sound documents including employee correspondence, briefing notes, and reports for senior leaders and executives.
• Coach and build the ER capability of people leaders to support proactive, fair and consistent people management practices.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders including senior leaders, union representatives, and external advisors.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
• Demonstrated experience in an employee or industrial relations role within a complex and dynamic organisational environment.
• Sound working knowledge of Australian employment law, including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong written communication skills with demonstrated experience drafting legally sound documents, employee correspondence, executive briefings and written reports.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with sound judgement, professionalism and discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational, time management and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• A tertiary qualification in law, industrial relations, or a related discipline is essential.
