About the Role

As the Remote Specialists and Programs Manager, you’ll lead specialist telehealth and health programs at RFDS Victoria. You’ll shape the future of care through initiatives like the Victorian Virtual Specialist Consult (VVSC) and Kids Specialist Access Program, while integrating services to improve access for rural and remote communities. You’ll mentor a skilled workforce, build strategic partnerships, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. By driving innovation, and best-practice models, you’ll make a lasting impact on community health.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination to ensure efficient service delivery across multiple sites and programs.
- Design and implement innovative telehealth initiatives and service models that meet emerging community health needs.
- Mentor and support clinical and non-clinical staff, driving performance, wellbeing, and professional growth.
- Manage program performance, strategic partnerships, and equitable access to high-quality, client-centred care.
- Oversee key programs (VVSC, Kids Specialist Access), ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement aligned with governance and safety standards.

To be successful, you will need:

- Tertiary qualification in Primary Health, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including clinical coordination, staff performance, and change management.
- Minimum five years’ experience delivering specialist health services across community, public, or private healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong strategic, resource, and performance management skills to drive sustainable, evidence-based models of care.
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
Desirable:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional.
- Postgraduate qualifications in public health, health administration, management or a related field.
