About Us

When most people think of the Flying Doctor, they picture aircraft soaring across the Outback. But our roots run deep in Victoria, where four of our founding members came from rural communities. In fact, Victoria was the first state to formally establish an RFDS Section in 1934.

Today, our mission remains unchanged: connecting people with care. While we continue to provide air and road transport, we also deliver a wide range of primary health services to address the unique challenges faced by rural and remote communities.

Our services:

- Bridge the gap created by distance

- Enable care within local communities

- Empower individuals to manage their health

- Reduce social and medical isolation
