Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides emergency aeromedical and allied health services for people in rural and remote Australia. About the Role

Are you passionate about driving smart procurement decisions and building strong supplier relationships? At RFDS Victoria, we’re looking for a Procurement Lead who thrives on strategic thinking and delivering commercial value independently.

In this autonomous role, you’ll lead procurement planning, analyse market trends and risks, and manage supplier performance to ensure we ensure optimal outcomes for our operations. You’ll use data and insights to make informed decisions, reduce risk, and support both our financial goals and our mission to deliver vital health services across Victoria.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct procurement analysis to inform strategic sourcing and planning.
- Develop and lead procurement strategies aligned with business needs.
- Manage supplier relationships and risks across the contract lifecycle.
- Provide expert advice on contract negotiation, compliance, and performance.
- Oversee procurement documentation, facilities contracts, and ensure compliance.

To be successful, you will need:

- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, and/or facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Contract Law and relevant commercial legislation.
- A confident communicator who can engage and educate stakeholders with high expectations.
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
