About Us

When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.

About the Role

As a P&C Business Partner, you’ll be the go‑to support for leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle, offering timely, practical and compliant advice that helps them make confident decisions. By coaching leaders, building capability and guiding the resolution of people matters, you’ll strengthen leadership effectiveness and support fair, consistent and people‑focused practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Provide advice and coaching to leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle, including EA/Award interpretation and compliance with Fair Work and organisational policy.
- Manage and resolve employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance or conduct case management, escalating complex issues when required.
- Build leader capability through coaching, guidance and support across performance management, development, disciplinary processes and effective people management practices.
- Partner with stakeholders on organisational change, workforce projects, policy development, job evaluation and remuneration advice, while collaborating closely with the P&C team to ensure consistent service delivery.

To be successful, you will need:

- Excellent communication, problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven experience in a people‑focused P&C partnering or advisory role.
- Highly organised and strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage own tasks and workload
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related field.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and industrial frameworks, including the NES, Enterprise Agreements, and Modern Awards.
- Experience providing clear, advice to leaders and employees on applying employment legislation and industrial instruments.
- Confidence using HRIS platforms, with solid understanding of core P&C processes, data management and reporting.
- Experience conducting job evaluations, position classifications and/or supporting organisational change initiatives.
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
