About Us

When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.

About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive, detail‑driven P&C Coordinator to join our People & Culture team in a dynamic and rewarding role. Reporting to the P&C Manager, you’ll play a key part in shaping a positive employee experience by supporting core people processes across the organisation.
You’ll be involved in the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding and employment changes through to offboarding—while ensuring documentation, compliance, and records management are accurate and efficient. You’ll also gain valuable exposure to employee relations matters and change activities, supporting the team in delivering fair, consistent and well‑managed outcomes. In addition, you’ll assist with reporting, audits, and data collation, and contribute to P&C projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our systems, processes, and employee experience.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys building strong working relationships, and is motivated by contributing to a team that empowers people to do their best work.

To be successful, you will need:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and discretion.
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current National Police Check, Drivers Licence and the right to work in Australia.

What working at RFDS can offer you:

- Five non-accruable Office Closure Leave days each year
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Access to salary packaging options to reduce your taxable income
- Fitness passport – a discounted gym membership to gyms and pools that both you and your family can enjoy
- Access to discounted private health insurance
- Flexible work options: hybrid working and purchased leave
- Great parental leave benefits in addition to government parental leave.
