About Us
When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.
About the role:
The Oral Health Service Lead provides operational leadership, governance and coordination of the RFDS Dental Service, ensuring high quality and accessible oral health care across Victoria. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead governance and compliance for dental programs, including accreditation, policy development and audit coordination.
- Manage risk, incidents, complaints and program level risk mitigation.
- Oversee service planning, needs assessments, and service entry/exit processes.
- Support consumer led service design and develop sustainable models of care.
- Lead workforce planning, staffing allocation and capability development.
- Monitor program performance, including reporting, KPIs, demand and waitlists.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder and community relationships.
- Support continuous quality improvement and service enhancement initiatives.
- Manage staff performance, onboarding/offboarding, rosters and team communication.
- Coordinate effective delivery of dental services across multiple sites.
- Work collaboratively with internal leaders to strengthen governance, data integrity and operational efficiency.
To be successful, you will need:
Required:
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
