Based out of Port Augusta, our Mental Health Team uses a fly in fly out service model to improve access and outcomes for remote communities.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Mental Health Service Manager, you will deliver stepped, evidence based, culturally safe mental health services mostly within remote First Nations communities.
This role gives you the opportunity to:
- Provide specialist mental health care via telephone, telehealth and face to face support
- Work across unique outback settings across regional and remote Australia
- Strengthen mental health and emotional wellbeing through education and community engagement
- Shape service delivery where traditional models simply don’t reach
- Be involved in National research within Aboriginal Communities.

About You
You are someone who:
- Is experienced in delivering mental health interventions aligned with national standards
- Understands culturally informed practices and healing approaches within First Nations communities
- Can work collaboratively across government and non government services
- Has experience in mental health promotion and social and emotional wellbeing initiatives
To be considered, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- A recognised mental health nursing qualification (e.g., Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Clinical Psychology)
