ICT Systems Coordinator
About the Role
This is a new position for RFDS which presents an exciting opportunity for an appropriately skilled ICT Systems Coordinator to join the dynamic team at RFDS Tas.
The position is full time working a 76-hour fortnight, based in the Launceston CBD. There will be some commuting to the RFDS Hangar based at Western Junction (Airport) Launceston.
In this position, the successful incumbent will be responsible for taking the lead on all things relating to managing and maintaining RFDS Information and communication technology, infrastructure, and systems. This will include overseeing hardware, software, networks, systems security, IT strategic projects and user accounts as well as providing technical support and guidance.
This will be a busy and varied role, reporting to the Commercial Manager, and collaborating closely with key stakeholders across our different programs, as well as with this position’s counterpart in other RFDS sections nationally.
Remuneration will be dependent on experience and negotiated with the successful applicant. Key Duties
- Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ICT infrastructure, including networks, servers, workstations, and mobile devices.
- System Administration: Managing software, user accounts, and access permissions, ensuring systems are secure and up to date.
- Technical Support: Providing expert advice and support to users on ICT-related issues, resolving technical problems, and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security protocols and procedures to protect the organisation's data and systems from cyber threats and NIS protocols and directives. Implementation and coordination of penetration testing would be also a key function.
- Project Management: Leading and participating in ICT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with external IT vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements are met. (Note Vendor MGT would initially focus on RFDS Vic ICT Support with outsourcing to a local ICT Provider)
- Policy and Procedure Development: Developing and maintaining ICT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure best practices and compliance.
- Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development of ICT strategies and plans, aligning technology with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Creation of ICT Roadmap would form a significant element of the Strategic Planning.
About You
For your application to be considered, you must be extremely tech savvy, having experience in strong project management, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of ICT systems.
Furthermore, you will have the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders and sustain collaborative working relationships with a super organised approach to your work. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of projects and business improvements within the dynamic landscaped of ICT initiatives. If you can think on your feet and problem solve quickly, this role is for you.
In addition to this, you will also require a current Tasmanian Drivers Licence, a current National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check.
