About This Opportunity
The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is seeking a Primary Health Nurse to join the team in Broken Hill. This role is offered on a full-time maximum-term contract, concluding on 30 June 2027. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to deliver essential healthcare services to rural and remote communities, travelling to clinics by both aircraft and vehicle. The role will see you visiting rural and remote clinics via plane and vehicle where no 2 days are the same.
As the Primary Health Nurse you will have significant experience in general primary health with chronic disease management, an immunisation certificate and clinic experience. You will provide support to ensure effective service delivery, advocacy, information and access to community resources, ensuring patients are assisted to make changes to their lifestyle behaviours to overall improve and maintain health status.
About You
As a Primary Health Nurse you will have;
- Significant experience working in community and clinic based Primary Health settings in rural and remote areas.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Primary Health Care including Chronic Disease Management, Child and Family Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Health promotion, Early Intervention.
- Ability to work autonomously and supporting our GP’s and primary health teams.
- Be familiar with rural and remote conditions relating to Health Care.
