About Us

When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.

About the role

The Head of Data, Insights & Supporter Experience plays a pivotal role in shaping Fundraising, Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships strategy at RFDS Victoria. The role oversees data and insights, digital systems, and supporter experience to drive a cohesive, future‑focused strategy. By strengthening data governance, modernising technology, and elevating supporter experience, this position enables growth and enhances fundraising and partnership performance. Acting as a unifying force across people, platforms and processes, the role ensures that RFDS Victoria has the intelligence and infrastructure to deliver its ambitious agenda as we build towards our centenary in 2028.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Developing and delivering a transformational Data, Insights & Digital strategy that drives innovation and organisational growth.
• Acting as the authority on fundraising and philanthropy data, advising leaders on risks, opportunities, and trends.
• Leading data governance frameworks to ensure ownership, compliance, and strong privacy standards.
• Providing actionable insights through analytics and reporting to improve performance across all portfolios.
• Embedding relationship‑management and moves‑management frameworks to support strategic donor and partner stewardship.
• Overseeing and optimising the digital and supporter engagement ecosystem to deliver seamless, high‑quality donor experiences.
• Partnering with the Transformation Directorate on integration, automation, AI, and digital uplift initiatives.
• Driving the integration, optimisation, and future‑proofing of the Raiser's Edge CRM and related platforms.
• Reducing system fragmentation and improving organisational capability through streamlined processes and tools.
• Aligning people, budgets, and technology to organisational priorities while fostering a proactive, high‑performance culture.
• Collaborating across Fundraising, Partnerships, Data & Insights, and Transformation teams to deliver integrated, data‑driven solutions.

To be successful, you will need:

Essential

• Strong strategic planning capability with experience delivering organisation‑wide data, digital, or insights strategies.
• Demonstrated experience leading data, insights, digital, or supporter/customer experience functions with measurable impact.
