About this Opportunity
Join the team that drives the community’s investment in the Flying Doctor. Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Strategy, Brand & Reputation, the Growth & Development Manager is accountable for the development and stewardship of the philanthropy strategy, including account and relationship management, lead sourcing and identification, team leadership and strategy development.
This integral role specifically involves:
• Developing, executing and evaluating the philanthropy strategy ensuring a balanced and sustainable portfolio of income channels.
• Effectively managing philanthropy income and expenditure by setting and overseeing the budget.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with individuals, family foundations and corporations to secure donations and meaningful engagement within strategic guidelines.
• Accountability for development and execution of key events including major fundraising events, special events, base tours and the speaker programs.
• Developing and executing Capital Campaigns in conjunction with the Executive General Manager – Strategy, Brand & Reputation and Fundraising & Supporter Experience Manager.
• Leading and motivating direct reports, including setting and overseeing team performance and professional development.
About You
You are:
• A commensurate professional with exemplary communication skills who can build trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• A highly motivated individual with a proven track record in business development and relationship management to achieve revenue targets.
• A strategic thinker with a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
• An experienced leader who can coach and motivate staff in a high performing team.
• Experienced in CRMs, using data to track sales progress, performance reporting and budget setting.
