Facilities Coordinator
The RFDS operates over five bases within Western Australia, as well as providing housing within these regional areas for employees. The Facility Coordinator leads coordination for our Jandakot base and provides support to the Facility Manager and the Base Admins in the regional locations.
About the role
- Identify and undertake due diligence on potential contractors.
- Schedule and coordinate providers and contractors.
- Support development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Document control and record management.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and seek funding for these projects.
- Support with developing minor/ major expenditure proposals.
- Undertaking project management in consultation with a range of stakeholders.
- Oversee the health, safety and environmental aspects of the Facilities Management delivery and complete site safety inspections.
- Development of annual plans for maintenance, repair and equipment/fixtures procurement.
- Coordination of projects, minor building works and infrastructure improvements.
- Support the movement of staff into housing in regional locations.
- Procurement and invoicing.
- Provide support to the regional Base Admins and Facilities Manager.
- Provide coverage for the Facilities Manager in their absence.
- Travel to regional bases for leave coverage, inspections and major projects support.
- Take calls for facilities emergencies after hours as per roster and in line with on call allowance
About you
- Experience in facility management and/or contract management.
- Qualifications and/ or experience in construction or property management.
- Capacity to operate effectively in an environment of change.
- Demonstrated understanding of ethical issues of procurement, including conflict of interest, competition, and transparency.
- Well developed financial and budget management skills.
- Well developed planning and implementations skills.
- The ability to travel to regional bases.
