Digital Platforms Coordinator
We are looking for a Digital Platforms Coordinator to join our team in Jandakot. In this role you’ll optimise digital platforms, collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and align technology solutions with business objectives for seamless operations.
About you
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (a minimum of three years) in platform/ applications management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in securely optimising enterprise software applications.
- Proficiency in systems analysing and process engineering.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong technical skills in application configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
- Certifications in change management, prominent technology platforms or applications are highly desirable.
- Methodical on ensuring platforms are configured and accurate processes are in place within the business for adequate information capture.
- Adapt in data governance processes.
About the role
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technology needs, lead platform changes and optimisations, coordinate with various teams and vendors, and conduct thorough testing for reliability and security.
- Monitor platform security, performance, develop maintenance strategies, ensure compliance, and provide timely support to users.
- Oversee data quality, storage, and organisation within technology platforms.
- Collaborate with data analysts to extract insights and generate reports from platform data.
- Implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding technology platform-related matters.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate users on platform functionalities and best practices.
- Gather feedback from users to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Adhere to project timelines and produce documentation related to technology platforms.
- Collaborate with teams, update user guides, and share best practices for continuous improvement.
- Implement security measures and audits in conjunction with the security team.
- Stay informed about best practices to mitigate security risks.

About Us
The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.
In 2024, the RFDS is launching a new five-year strategy ‘Above and Beyond’, which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history. The strategy will include a focus on expanding remote health clinics in some of WA’s most vulnerable communities, expanding our profit-for-purpose services, strengthening our workforce, harnessing technology and addressing our environmental sustainability.
