About this Opportunity


This position involves working away from home for periods at a time, traveling in our state-of-the-art aircraft, commercial flights and driving to our communities, with additional hours at our Adelaide office working alongside the Oral Health Service Coordinator supporting patients through our Attendance Support program.

Based out of Adelaide reporting to the Manager Oral Health Program, this role has a strong focus on prevention and managing periodontal health. Our program requires a clinician with excellent communication skills, who has a sound understanding of the links between oral health and whole-body health. This position requires a high level of proficiency in clinical, ad-ministrative and health promotion skills.

Specifically, you will:

• Provide comprehensive oral health services in the target communities in partnership with the Primary Health Care Team for specific target population groups (chronic dis-ease, children under 3, mental health and maternity patients).
• Deliver preventive focussed services and oral health education tailored to patients’ requirements (including establishment of treatment plans).
• Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment practicing in accordance with the Dental Board Guidelines.
• Participate in remote clinics with Primary Health Service providers for Chronic dis-ease management.

About You

You are:

• Able to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team contributing to holistic patient centred care.
• Clinically competent in the provision of oral health promotion and general dental ser-vices as they pertain to remote communities.
• Equipped with an understanding of Dental Practice guidelines, standards and ethical codes of conduct.
• Sensitive to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) individuals and communities.

To be considered for the role you require:

• Advanced Diploma or a Bachelor of Oral Health
• Unconditional registration with AHPRA
• Current Registration with the Dental Board of Australia
