About this Opportunity

This is an exciting time to join our Oral Health team performing a critical role in maintaining patient and staff safety, supporting clinical readiness for outreach trips, and ensuring continuity of service for remote dental programs.

The CSSD Technician works closely with dental clinicians, oral health program staff, logistics teams and broader primary health services to manage instrument turnaround, traceability, documentation and quality assurance processes. The role requires a strong understanding of dental instrument reprocessing, attention to detail, and the ability to work within structured workflows while adapting to the unique challenges of remote service delivery, including variable turnaround times, transport logistics and high-volume instrument processing following outreach trips.

Specifically, you will:

- Re-process reusable instruments according to NSQHS Standards and RFDS Procedures.
- Deliver CSSD services in accordance with Australian sterilisation standards and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain CSSD area to required infection prevention and operating standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Oral Health team on all CSSD matters.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a working knowledge of infection control and sterilisation processing, be reliable and highly organised.

To be considered for the role you require:

- A Certificate III Sterilisation Services or willing to undertake or Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
- Demonstrated experience in sterilising and instrument processes
- Ability to work semi-autonomously while contributing positively to a team
- Sound Professional judgement and problem-solving ability
