About this Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, Medical and Retrieval Services, you will be an engaging and dynamic leader, with strong experience at a senior leadership level. You will be able to effectively lead and manage the operational aeromedical nursing requirements, key stakeholder relationships, and actively contribute to the strategic direction of the RFDS SA/NT.
Specifically, you will:
• Provide clinical leadership and support the Flight Nurse Managers with day-to-day operations of the Flight Nursing Team in the Northern Territory.
• Participate in the strategic priorities of the organization, developing operational management plans and key deliverables that reflect the strategic direction.
• Build and develop effective teams through compliance, culture and information systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in relation to clinical and operational service delivery
• Provide operational leadership for the clinical governance framework for Aeromedical Nursing in the Northern Territory.
About You
You are:
• An experienced senior leader within a healthcare environment (min. of 5+ years)
• Experienced in managing challenging and demanding daily operational issues with composure and confidence
• Engaging and collaborative; with the ability to successfully lead change
• Experienced in leading quality improvement and organisational change processes in a health care environment
• Able to operate at both a strategic and operational management level
• Experienced with leading and developing people and creating high-performing teams
• Patient and customer-focused; understanding and adapting to the needs of both
• A Registered Nurse with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration (essential).
• Postgraduate qualifications in emergencies or critical care (essential).
• Postgraduate qualifications in management (MHA, MBA etc) and a deep understanding of prehospital and retrieval medicine (desirable).
