About this Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, Medical and Retrieval Services, as our first Aeromedical, Emergency Care & Transport Pharmacist, you will ensure that all medication supply prescribing, administration, dispensing and documentation across the Aeromedical, Emergency Care & Transport services meet regulatory, compliance and NSQHS standards.
Specifically, you will:
• Ensure doctors, nurses and paramedics/patient transport officers are all appropriated li-censed and supported in medication administration.
• Collaborate with the Community Care Pharmacist (primary care teams, remote area clinics, allied health) to ensure a singular and collaborative approach to pharmacy leadership across RFDS SA/NT
• Chair the Drugs and Therapeutics sub-Committee of Operational Clinical Governance, col-laborating with the Community Pharmacist and Patient Safety and Quality team.
• Lead ongoing review and development of the RFDS SA/NT drug formulary with regards to AECT services (excluding FIFO and remote area clinic primary, allied, oral and mental health care)
About You
You possess:
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A commitment to continuous quality improvement and innovation
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, an ability to think operationally and exceptional critical thinking skills.
To be considered for the role you require:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Pharmacy/ Pharmacology
• Valid Pharmacist license
