When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.
About the Role
The Senior Manager B2B Marketing will provide strategic and operational leadership across marketing, digital growth, commercial development and service promotion for RFDS Victoria. The role has a strong focus on driving revenue growth through new contracts and diversified income streams, while strengthening RFDS Victoria’s reputation and promoting the essential health services it delivers across the state.
Working closely with Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships, this role will co-design integrated marketing initiatives that deliver measurable revenue outcomes, increase service awareness and support RFDS Victoria to remain a trusted and visible healthcare provider.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing and business development strategies that drive service growth, revenue diversification, digital growth, and awareness of RFDS Victoria services.
- Translate organisational priorities into compelling marketing initiatives that increase demand, utilisation and reputation of RFDS Victoria across Victoria.
- Provide strategic leadership across marketing, digital, content and design, ensuring alignment with the RFDS Victoria Strategic Plan 2030.
- Drive digital growth and customer acquisition through oversight of SEO/SEM, paid media, websites, content, social media, analytics, and end‑to‑end digital customer journeys.
- Champion data‑driven decision‑making, using insights and dashboards to optimise conversion, retention and campaign performance.
- Lead the promotion of RFDS Victoria services, developing campaigns and partnerships that increase referrals, awareness and uptake.
- Identify and secure new business development opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams, working closely with operational leaders on commercial proposals, pricing and market insights.
- Strengthen RFDS Victoria’s reputation and positioning as a trusted provider of choice with government, health sector and community partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government, funders, health organisations, universities and community stakeholders, supporting advocacy and engagement efforts.
- Partner closely with Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships to co‑design integrated initiatives that deliver measurable revenue outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
To be successful, you will need:
- Proven ability to develop and deliver growth‑focused marketing and business development strategies that drive revenue, partnerships and long‑term sustainability.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing resources, budgets and teams to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Significant digital expertise, including digital acquisition, analytics, customer journeys and campaign optimisation.
- Demonstrated success leading high‑performing teams, with a focus on accountability, performance management, and capability development.
- Experience leading change and navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, government, partners and community stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, with extensive senior leadership experience in marketing, business development or revenue‑generating roles (ideally within a values‑based, NFP or health environment).
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
