About This Opportunity

Are you looking for a rewarding career opportunity, working in an exciting role where no two days are the same? The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) are currently seeking Flight Nurses at our Dubbo Base to join us on a full or part-time basis. As a Flight Nurse, you will play a vital role in our organisation, being required to provide direct quality nursing care for an individual or group of patients within an aero medical environment. 

About You

You will be working in an autonomous environment, utilising your skills and experience to deliver acute patient care. With the ability to take initiative in emergency situations following RFDSSE Guidelines, in conjunction with RFDSSE Medical Officers or on-call Medical Retrieval Consultants.

You will additionally present with the pre-requisites of:

  • Relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with no restrictions.
  • Post Registration qualifications in Midwifery with birth suite experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ Acute Post Graduate Critical Care and Nursing experience (fields inclusive of Emergency, ICU, Cardiac or Cardiothoracic Nursing)
  • Current Advanced Life Support Certification
  • Being Ventilator Competent
