Description
At the Royal Flying Doctor Service, we look for Engineers who are open to a challenge, want to help people in need and have a passion for aviation. Challenge yourself and work in a role that requires high-level problem-solving and ingenuity while simultaneously servicing a fleet that provides an essential service to people living in regional and remote Queensland.

Our Bases
We have seven operational bases in our network:
- Charleville
- Mt Isa
- Townsville
- Rockhampton
- Bundaberg
- Cairns
- Brisbane
The RFDS Queensland is seeking skilled and confident engineers to maintain our state-of-the-art aircraft, ensuring that Queenslanders have access to critical care when they need it most.
Depending on your position of interest, you will need:
- An AME qualification or Certificate IV in Aeroskills — Mechanical
- A Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) B1 or B2 qualification
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Aircraft maintenance experience with RFDS QLD aircraft types (B200, B350, B360)
- Flexibility in your preferred working location

- Gratuity of $3,842 after 12 months and $5,763 after 2 years, for those based in Mt Isa, Roma and Charleville
- Rent/Mortgage Assistance of up to $24,000 is available
- Relocation of up to $7,000
