Description
Our Clinical Governance Officer - credentialing plays a key role in ensuring all Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) clinicians - including Medical Officers, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, Social Workers, Psychologists, and Mental Health Nurses meet credentialing and scope of practice requirements. This role ensures compliance with RFDS policies by coordinating the full credentialing process, including applications, renewals, and updates, as well as maintaining accurate records, databases, and conducting regular audits.
In addition to core responsibilities, the role will also provide administrative support to the broader Clinical Governance team. This may involve documentation, maintaining training records, data entry, and assisting with quality improvement initiatives as required.

Key Duties:
- Coordinate the credentialing committee including liaising with credentialing committee members, preparation of agendas and associated papers, minuting meetings as they occur and the monitoring of action items as outcomes to the meetings
- Liaise with clinicians to complete a smooth credentialing process for RFDS or prospective RFDS clinicians
- Process credentialing applications and variation files via credentialing database C-Gov.
- Screen practitioners' applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility against RFDS policy, identifying discrepancies in information and conducting follow-ups.
- Process credentialing applications with Queensland Health departments where required.
- Maintain RFDS credentialing online database, C-Gov, and relevant documentation on SharePoint along with the broader clinical governance systems and databases.
- Monitor AHPRA and professional membership expiration and renewals.
- Other duties as directed by the Clinical Governance Manager to meet organisational needs.
- Demonstrated experience with credentialing database C-Gov (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in minute taking for senior level meetings including organisation of meetings start to end and tracking of action items
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications particularly Word and Excel
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage workloads and identify when to reschedule and reorganise work to reflect changes in priority
- Ability to achieve outcomes autonomously with general supervision as well as within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn organisational systems and databases
