About this Opportunity
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (SA/NT) seeks passionate and innovative Community Specialist, to join our Tourism team in Darwin to grow external relationships and develop strategies that increase donations to the RFDS from individuals, community groups and businesses. We believe our people – all of our people – keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying. As our go-to Community Specialist, you will:
• Support the development and management of a RFDS ‘Community’ Volunteer Program to achieve best practice in volunteer management, implemented in accordance with RFDS Policy and Procedures.
• Identify opportunities to increase engagement and fundraising revenue streams from new and existing (third-party) community events through the utilisation of appropriate online fundraising platforms.
• Participate in fundraising, stakeholder relations and marketing activities in close cooperation with colleagues, to assist in the achievement of fundraising goals.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Knowledge of rural and remote central Australia.
• Demonstrated success in fundraising, including achieving event-based targets and engaging and building relationships with community members, businesses, volunteers and donors.
• Well organised, self-starter with the demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
• Creative and solutions focussed, with the ability to use initiative to resolve challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute productively in a small, dynamic team environment, demonstrating a flexible, adaptable and collaborative approach.
