About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety & Quality Assurance Specialist – Engineering, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the effective implementation and continual improvement of Engineering, Airworthiness and Maintenance Control Safety and Quality objectives aligned with AS9110, including delivery of internal and external audit programs.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as operational leaders, government and non-government organisation, aviation authorities and safety bureaus, assisting with various projects and tasks that support the overall functioning of the Safety and Quality Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure successful completion of the annual audit program for Engineering, Airworthiness and Maintenance Control. 
• Undertake audits within the established Safety and Quality Management framework, including internal and supplier audits.
• Conduct external audits of sub-contractors to assess their suitability to perform contracted tasks for RFDS SA/NT.
• Contribute to the management of the risk register, incident reports, change management activities and findings/actions in the audit Key Accountabilities management software.
• Assist in administering the Safety Assurance Program in other operational areas, including but not limited to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) and Clinical Safety and Quality as required.

About You

You have prior experience in an operational aviation environment and highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
What you will bring:

•    Demonstrated experience conducting system audits and/or safety investigations, including an understanding of human factors and non-technical skills. 
•    Working knowledge of Aviation regulations including but not limited to CASR Parts 99, 92, 119, 135, 138 and 141; CAR 30 and TSP. 
•    Demonstrated high levels of communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
•    Demonstrated attention to detail with proven ability to use initiative and a results driven approach.

To be considered for the role you require:
•    Minimum of Lead Auditor qualification. 
•    Safety Investigation qualification.
