About this Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Executive GM Primary Care & Clinical Safety/Quality, you will lead and supervise our dedicated Clinicians in delivering a stepped mental health service that is evidence based and culturally safe in the context of remote First Nations communities across regional and remote Australia.
You will support the two Mental Health teams SA and NT to deliver a community based low to moderate intervention mental health services to clients who are not able to access appropriate services due to living in remote locations or being ineligible for existing services.
You will be a vital resource to remote communities, ensuring to identify activities to further develop – and increase awareness of - mental health and emotional wellbeing services.
About You
You will have demonstrated leadership experience as a senior clinician within a multi-disciplinary mental health service. Proven expertise in the application of evidence based clinical practice within the mental health field in rural and remote Australia. Highly developed communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
To be considered for the role you require:
A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology.
A membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Mental Health or equivalent.
