About this Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Manager Clinical, Safety and Quality, this role is an integral part of the Clinical Safety and Quality team.

The role of the Remote/Industrial Clinical Safety and Quality Facilitator is to ensure RFDS SA/NT maintains strong clinical governance and delivers high-quality emergency care oversight to the remote mine sites of Prominent Hill, Carrapateena and Olympic Dam.  RFDS partners with BHP to support BHP employed clinicians (nurses and paramedics) in high quality provision of urgent and emergency care by

- Clinical governance leadership – RFDS supplies of clinical policies, guidelines, procedures and drug licensing / standing medication orders, alongside continuous quality improvement by clinical data collection, trend analysis, incident reporting and review and morbidity and mortality monitoring.
- Remote emergency advice for its clinicians by RFDS SA/NT doctors based out of Port Augusta, utilizing telehealth and digital tools to inform accurate diagnosis and management recommendations.

The Remote Industrial CSQ Facilitator will work as an integral member of the Clinical Safety and Quality Team contributing their knowledge and expertise to support and facilitate the clinical safety, quality and risk agenda for RFDS SA/NT.


About You

You have:

- Experience or demonstrated interest in remote emergency care.
- Knowledge and understanding of the clinical governance principles, NSQHS Standards, relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, and a demonstrated interest in infection prevention and control practices in diverse healthcare settings.
- The ability to analyse, interpret and utilise clinical data to support service development, risk reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, including high level reporting writing, presenting to varied audiences and building effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to achieve planned timelines

To be considered for the role you require:

- Bachelor’s degree in Paramedic of Health Science.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a paramedic in Australia.
