Description

We’re looking for a creative, organised and digitally savvy Content Officer/Creator to join our Fundraising & Engagement team on a full-time contract.
  
You’ll play a key role in creating content that directly supports one of Australia’s most trusted charities, working across a wide range of platforms including social media, web, internal communications, publications and campaigns in line with the RFDS Communication and Engagement Strategy. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a passionate and supportive team that values creativity, excellence and innovation, while helping to shape how Queenslanders connect with one of the most iconic organisations in the country.

Key responsibilities

  • Create high‑quality, brand‑aligned content across digital, print, social and internal channels
  • Turn strategic priorities into engaging storytelling that strengthens RFDS’s reputation and community connection
  • Manage and optimise content performance, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with the RFDS voice and governance
  • Support external and internal communication, including websites, social media, newsletters and staff engagement platforms
  • Capture and produce visual content while maintaining digital asset libraries and contributing to integrated campaigns
What you’ll bring
  • Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills and the ability to adapt content for various platforms and audiences
  • Strong understanding of digital content ecosystem and social media best practice
  • Ability to interpret performance data and apply insights to optimise content
  • Highly organised with strong project management and prioritisation skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to collaborate across clinical and corporate teams
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and error-free content
  • Creativity and willingness to develop your skills
