The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) is seeking a practical and dynamic Graduate Engineer - Airworthiness to support our vital 24/7 operations.
This is an entry-level role designed for a recent graduate who is eager to learn and develop in the Airworthiness space. Gaining exposure and experience in a role and organisation you can help keep our fleet in the sky—and make a real difference in communities across the state.
  
The Graduate Engineer is a Full-time role on a Maximum term (12-month) contract based at the Brisbane Airport.

Duties include:  
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Support the Technical Services Manager and wider Engineering department to ensure high aircraft availability
  • Assess instructions for continuing airworthiness and support their integration into the maintenance management system
  • Participate in interpreting data and regulations and their impact to RFDS Operations
  • Assist with the project management of aircraft modifications and the introduction of new operational equipment, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Flight Operations and Nursing teams to develop a strong understanding of operational requirements and apply this knowledge to airworthiness activities
  • Travel to RFDS QLD locations to provide statewide technical support as required
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Bachelor or post-graduate qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders displaying professionalism and confidentiality in high tempo situations
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Exposure to project management and/or system engineering concepts
  • An interest in the practical application of professional engineering knowledge to support aircraft operations and maintenance
