Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) is seeking a Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience to support the organisation in enhancing healthcare delivery through understanding and documenting clinical requirements, process and system improvements, and supporting clinicians in the delivery of solutions. This role has the potential to make significant differences in the efficiency of our staff and help improve the day-to-day operational and administrative aspects of our essential healthcare services.

The Business Analyst will be part of a project team and will work with clinicians, management, SLT and external vendors to identify business needs and translate them into practical process, system, or business solutions
As the Business Analyst, you will:

  • Engage with internal stakeholders and user groups to gather, analyse, and document business needs and functional requirements.
  • Develop clear, fit-for-purpose functional requirements and non functional specifications that define the desired outcomes of system enhancements or new solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and project teams to ensure proposed solutions meet organisational requirements
  • Contribute to the configuration of software and systems, prepare test plans and scripts
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) 
  • Manage user expectations to align with system capabilities and functionality
  • Become the system expert to support future enhancements/improvements
  
This is a maximum-term, full-time role based in Brisbane. The initial project and contract will run for 12 months however, there are additional opportunities within the team to support the ongoing digital transformation at the RFDS. The RFDS Digital & Technology Team offers hybrid working arrangements with a mixture of working from home and in the office.
  
Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Business Analyst who is a team player, communicates openly and confidentially, and has expertise in defining the present state and collaboratively projecting and creating a future state. In addition, you will have formal qualifications in Information Technology or a closely related field, and you will demonstrate-
  • Experience in implementing/supporting clinical solutions and patient management systems would be desirable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder and customer engagement skills
  • Complex problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical issues and solutions in simple easy to understand language
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, process design and build and data modelling and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation and change of complex business applications
  • Hands-on experience with process mapping and system testing tools
