In this role, you will be dedicated to strengthening the bond between children and parents.

In this non-clinical role, you will support the local delivery of the Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) Program in Longreach and the surrounding Shires, including Winton, Barcaldine, Blackall/Tambo, Boulia and Diamantina. You will be supported to undertake formal facilitator training so that you can facilitate the COSP program. The COSP program supports families in developing parenting skills, emotional attunement, and secure attachment relationships with their children. You will bring a strong focus on enhancing the well-being of families in the communities you support.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Deliver the COSP Program in face-to-face and telehealth formats.
  • Coordinate referrals, schedules, and communication with stakeholders and referring agencies.
  • Complete session planning, resource preparation, and delivery of take-home materials.
  • Build strong, culturally safe relationships with parents and caregivers to support engagement.
  • Meet KPIs in accordance with the contract.
  • Submit reports and administer assessment and evaluation tools consistent with COSP Program requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, engagement, and program feedback.
  • Promote the COSP Program through local networks and events

The role:
  • Full-time position
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Maximum-term contract ending June 30, 2026.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who can network proactively with a range of service providers to build strong, productive partnerships. You’ll bring confidence in group facilitation and strong organisational skills to manage program delivery across multiple sites and formats. You will bring:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Family Services, Education Support, Early Childhood, or a related field.
  • Experience working in community settings.
  • Strong connection to and understanding of Central West Queensland communities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly with diverse populations.
  • Strong working knowledge of mandatory child safety reporting requirements.
  • Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and supportive attitude toward families and caregivers.
  • Willingness to complete COSP Program facilitator training.
  • Commitment to RFDS values, confidentiality, and child safety.
