The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) is seeking a strategic and dynamic Parts and Logistics Officer to support our vital 24/7 operations. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the seamless flow of parts, consumables, tooling, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across Queensland, enabling the timely maintenance of our aircraft and rapid response to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.

The Parts and Logistics Officer is a Permanent, Full-time role based at the Cairns Airport.
  
Duties include:
  
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Responsible for overseeing stores operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements and timely support of aircraft maintenance activities
  • Liaise with Supply Chain Manager to facilitate processes and records in relation to the purchasing, receipt, repair and control of aircraft spares
  • Track and monitor open requisitions and purchase orders
  • Purchase aeronautical product and consumables under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager or Maintenance Managers
  • Coordinate and manage receiving, unloading and dispatching of goods
  • Maintain RFDS GSE register and manage inventory system
  • Liaise with base Engineers on tooling details and calibration reports
Who are we looking for?
  
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
  • Requires strong organisational skills, a sound understanding of aviation logistics processes
  • Aircraft stores and logistics experience including Dangerous Goods
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills including the ability to pick up new computer applications
  • Ability to understand and resolve complex problems and systems
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team to establish priorities and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
  • Cert IV in Warehousing Operations
  • Forklift Licence
  • Dangerous Goods qualification
