Description
The Events Manager supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section), by creating engaging, memorable and brand-aligned experiences across a diverse range of high-quality events. The Events Manager plays a critical role in strengthening awareness of the RFDS, connecting with communities and support the organisation’s Community Engagement Strategy.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Brisbane Corporate Office, with the added flexibility of hybrid working arrangements with a mixture of home and office work, as well as regular team days. We are seeking a team member who is flexible and able to attend events scheduled after hours and on weekends.
Key responsibilities
As the Events Manager, you will support our people by:
- Planning, coordinating and delivering RFDS events, including logistics, programming, ticketing, registrations, invitations, marketing and communications, and database management
- Fostering strong, productive and positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external providers, sponsors, community groups and event partners
- Identifying additional event opportunities in regional Queensland for RFDS to support
- Managing end-to-end event operations to deliver seamless event experiences
- Conducting post-event evaluations including financial outcomes, stakeholder feedback, attendance data and key learnings to support continuous event improvement
- Assisting with other tasks as required within the skill scope of the role and requirements of the Commercial and Corporate Affairs team.
We are seeking a friendly individual with excellent communication skills and an innovative approach to problem solving. You will have a can-do attitude and meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or relevant experience in an events or NFP marketing role
- Proven ability in planning, delivering and managing a diverse range of events and campaigns
- Experience with event and marketing platforms including CRM systems, booking systems, marketing automation and content management systems, as well as job management platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timeframes in a dynamic environment
- Current Drivers Licence, and a willingness to travel as required.
